Let's talk about some mechanics that greatly hinder the game's PvP and about improving Cron for accessories.
- 1. Cron
The Cron for accessories currently, when it fails, has a fairly high chance of regressing. Why not make it like it happens with boss armor and weapons, such as Black Star, where the item only fails without regressing? This way, lower-tier accessories will not significantly decrease in value, allowing novice players to more easily reach full PEN accessory gear with less grinding time. This would advance the game content to the endgame, providing newcomers with a quicker chance to compete against stronger players on the server. This, in turn, would bring more competition to the endgame. Players who have been in the endgame for a long time and have grinded since beta may no longer have the same desire to grind as before but are pursuing Devoreka PEN accessories. The issue lies in the drop rate and difficulty of obtaining them, causing frustration and even making some players quit due to frequent failures. The major frustration lies not in the failure itself but in the regression of the item, considering the substantial amount of CRON spent.
- 2. CC Resistance in PvP
It is quite frustrating to successfully apply the first Crowd Control (CC) to initiate a combo, only to have the person resist the CC during the extension to finish the combo and be penalized for being close. The reason for CC resistance in PvP is unclear, especially considering that combos already have a CC limit of 2 points. Many builds currently stack resistance for all CC in PvP, while other builds can focus on ignoring resistance for a specific CC.
- 3. Slowness
Another issue is the slowness in Black Desert's combat. Some characters have this slowness in area-of-effect abilities, while others do not. This significantly hinders characters relying solely on CC combos, as they lack area-of-effect damage and struggle during combos, affecting mass PvP greatly. Slower classes in the game suffer significantly from this slowness.
Why not conduct tests on PvP resistance and slowness to observe how all servers will react?
